The biggest news of September, for sure, was that Apron raised a further $30 million. But we didn’t stop to celebrate for too long. We’ve been hard at work updating and improving some of your favourite features.
It’s all part of our goal to help more businesses make it. Here’s a round-up of what’s new to Apron in September.
Enforce Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication or 2FA is already available in Apron as an option, but now, those with Admin rights can enforce 2FA across all team members.
This added layer of security greatly reduces the risk of unauthorised access.
With 2FA enforced, team members will only be able to access their accounts once they’ve verified with both a password and their authenticator app.
You can enable 2FA for all team members by clicking the toggle on the Team page.
Scan and upload sales invoices
Got Sales invoices you need to upload to the Sales section of Xero or QuickBooks Online? You can now scan and upload them directly via Apron.
This ensures that you can capture both sides of the business for all your clients, even if they use an external system to create and send sales invoices.
Easier collaboration with Mentions
There’s nothing more annoying than flying through transactions, only to have your progress halted by missing information.
To help you get there faster, you can now tag the relevant party in the Comments section. They’ll get a notification asking them to log in so that they can help you out.
Upload multiple photos in one go
Android users can now submit multiple receipts in one go. Take pictures of multiple receipts with your phone camera and upload them to Apron all at once.
Got a long receipt or two-sided invoice? Take several pictures of it and combine them into a single document in the app.
You’ll find this feature especially useful if you have complicated invoices or receipts with many line items.
And there you have it. What should we work on next? Let us know on Linkedin.
