New in Calxa this week is the release of our new Calxa Enterprise subscription. After more than 20 years working with small business accounting systems, it’s time for us to expand into the world of Enterprise systems. After several months of beta testing, we can announce that Calxa now integrates with NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica and Microsoft Business Central.
The Calxa Enterprise plan
To work with one of the ERP systems you will need to be on the Calxa Enterprise plan. This is set up per tenant so it gives you unlimited organisations and users within that tenant. We will go into more detail on what gets imported for each organisation below. Essentially you will get monthly actuals for organisations and business units. Once this is configured and mapped in Calxa, you get access to our flexible budget builder and the library of reports. It will make it easy to produce monthly management reports.
Implementation Paired with the Enterprise plan
In comparison to connecting to mainstream cloud accounting systems, the Enterprise connection has many more tentacles and is not as straightforward. Because of their complexity and the various possible configurations, the enterprise integration will require some manual interventions. To ensure a well-tuned setup, some decisions need to be made by a human. This is the reason an implementation package is paired with the Enterprise plan. It includes a consultative process that is managed by our team in close partnership with you to achieve the optimum setup. Then, if your setup needs more than what’s included in our basic implementation package, we discuss the details to suit your needs.
Let’s look a little closer at the nuances of each system.
Microsoft Business Central
We integrate with the online version of Dynamics 365 Business Central and also Wiise ERP.
Companies come into Calxa as Organisations whilst Dimensions convert to business units. We bring in the Dimensions assigned to the Global Dimension 1 and 2 Codes. The chart of accounts is imported from Business Central as a flat list. We recommend you group and summarise these with our Account Trees.
We bring in monthly totals for each general ledger account by organisation and business unit.
This help article Calxa and Business Central will give you more details.
MYOB Acumatica
Calxa integrates with MYOB Acumatica in the Australia and New Zealand region as well as Acumatica globally. Online SAAS environments are fully supported and there are some additional requirements for Private Cloud deployments.
You will need a Full Access API licence for Acumatica to manage the synchronisation process.
Companies and branches in Acumatica are imported to Calxa as organisations. These can then be grouped with one or more Organisation Groups. On the other hand, Subaccounts, Projects and Project Tasks come in as business units and can then be managed with Business Unit Trees.
The chart of accounts comes in as a flat list. However, you can use our Account Trees to group and summarise it in different ways. We bring in monthly totals for each general ledger account by organisation and business unit.

NetSuite
Calxa works well with NetSuite US, Australia, Canada, UK, Japan and the International version. We import organisations from the Subsidiary structure and bring in Departments, Locations and Classes as business units.
The Chart of Accounts comes into Calxa with both Header and Detail accounts. Actuals are imported as monthly totals by business unit / organisation and account.

How to Get Started on a Calxa Enterprise Plan
If you’re not familiar with Calxa, reach out to our team for a demo and we’ll show you how it works.
Start with a free trial of Calxa and choose the option to start with some demo data, rather than connecting to an accounting system. Because of the complexity of the Enterprise setup, it’s not feasible to do the trial connection to your system.
Explore the demo data to see the power and flexibility of the reporting in Calxa. After that, you will have full control to edit and alter the budgets in the workspace and make any changes you like. Finally, look at the existing Report Bundles, KPIs and Dashboards. Or, add new ones to see how it would work for your business.
Once you are satisfied with the functionality, talk to us for a quote on the implementation process. Then, once you sign up, we get started and have you up and running in no time.
There is no minimum term on a Calxa subscription but, naturally, we hope you’ll stay forever!
