After more than 11 years as Planday’s CEO, Christian Brøndum has decided to resign from the position.
As Planday completes its recruitment process for the CEO role, Chris O’Neill, Xero’s Chief Growth Officer, will oversee the Planday business. Christian’s final day at Planday will be on 31 December 2022.
Since 2011, Christian has led Planday through important stages of its international growth to become one of Europe’s leading scheduling and workforce management solutions supporting more than 400,000 employee users, through to its acquisition by Xero in April 2021. He has built a strong team who since the acquisition have achieved a number of milestones including establishing operations in Melbourne, Australia - led by Planday co-founder and Executive General Manager ANZ and Asia Pacific, Anders Frederiksen. In September 2022, this team launched Planday's first public beta for Australian customers ahead of plans to launch to the market in early calendar year 2023.
Christian has also supported Planday’s UK business in product integration activities to further payroll and Time, Attendance & Scheduling functionality in that market.
Today, Planday operates in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Australia and the US.
