We’re introducing a new annual recertification self assessment that apps listed on the Xero App Store need to complete before 31 August 2024. You’ll need to complete the assessment in order to stay listed on the Xero App Store.

Why are we introducing this?

We want our customers to have a great experience using your integration. We’ll use the information you provide in the assessment to work with you to improve your integration and help our customers discover your app. It’ll also help inform how we improve the Xero Developer and Xero App Store experience.

The assessment will ask you about:

  • your Xero integration
  • your business
  • your Xero App Store listing
  • your aspirations
  • whether you continue to meet our certification checkpoints
  • the best ways to contact you when we need to

We’ll provide you with:

  • opportunities to give us feedback directly
  • ways to improve your integration and give your customers the best experience
  • ways to improve your Xero App Store listing and succeed on the Xero App Store
  • information about upcoming and recent changes to our APIs

What to expect

In August, you’ll receive an email from Xero’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform OneTrust asking you to launch an assessment that has been assigned to you. The email will come from noreply@m.onetrust.com. Clicking on the ‘Launch Assessment’ button within the body of the email will take you to OneTrust where you can complete and submit the assessment before the due date. If we don’t receive a submitted assessment from you before 31 August 2024 we may remove your listing from the Xero App Store until the assessment is submitted.

If there are any certification requirements that you don’t meet then we’ll ask you to come up with a plan to meet those requirements.

By filling out this assessment you’ll be helping us to keep our customers up-to-date with any changes to your business and your integration. We’ll also be making sure that you’re aware of recent and upcoming changes to our API that might affect you so you can plan accordingly. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide feedback about our APIs and the Xero App Store.
